Still in her mid twenties, Edinburgh born Maeve Gilchrist has been credited as an innovator on her native Celtic Harp due to her unique chromatic and improvisational approach to the instrument. Based in Boston MA, Maeve tours internationally as a solo artist and with her trio. She has performed and recorded with such luminaries as Darol Anger, Kathy Mattea, Esperanza Spalding, Tony Trischka, Alasdair Fraser and Vardan Ovsepian. She teaches at the Berklee College of Music and has been published by Hal Leonard.

You are cordially invited to a very special Interplay Jazz & Arts fundraising event. This intimate house concert will feature jazz vocalist Sheila Jordan, guitarist Gene Bertoncini, pianist Armen Donelian, and saxophonist and Founder of Interplay Jazz & Arts, Fred Haas.

 

Feel the love...and the joy...as these world-class musicians combine their rich musical talents in an unforgettable meeting of the minds and spirits. “This is music to touch the heart and renew the spirit. Gene Bertoncini tells a story of rare beauty in every note.” Each of these musicians has a rich story to share. This promises to be a very special musical event.
